WHO WE ARE

The Stewart Academy of Performing Arts is a school at which children and adults learn to become the best performers they can be.  The school has classes for children from aged 7 up to, and including adults. The school offers lessions in singing, acting and dancing for our Academy Juniors and Youths, drama classes for our teens and an adult choir.

Sessions

Every session will begin with a full physical and vocal warm up so the children are prepared for the work ahead. Exciting songs will be learned led by me, at the piano and the children will become experts at harmonising.

The acting part of each session will include exercises, games and improvisation techniques all with the aim of encouraging the children to step out of their comfort zones and become super creative, confident performers.

Dancing will be included in every session as the children learn choreography alongside their songs. They will become adept in picking up moves and transforming them into performance-worthy routines.

Performances

At the end of every term, families and friends are invited into the hall to watch the children perform. Families will be able to see everything that their children have been working on throughout the term.

This is so beneficial for the children as they increase in self-belief and confidence with every performance.

About Me

processed-1bc81d9c-8d2d-4031-8d7a-567d86f3d26a_1AENnnM3.jpeg

After a childhood full of singing, acting, dancing and music, I received a scholarship to Mountview Theatre School where I completed my Diploma in Acting & Musical Theatre.

I was able to get a great agent and went on to work as a professional actor, singer and dancer across the whole of the UK including London’s West End. I have been fortunate to perform in some incredible shows as well as appear on TV and film.

After some time, I decided to take a break from professional work to start family life but continued to teach at many schools and academies including Stagecoach, Italia Conti and Theatre Clywd. Over the last four years I have taught across primary and secondary schools and have directed some incredible shows.

I am a LAMDA teacher, grade 8 piano and have very recently graduated from The Guildford School of Acting with a BA in Theatre.

My passion is performance and I adore getting the best out of children. Watching a child come alive, grow in confidence and ability through the performing arts is an incredible feeling and I cannot wait to welcome your child to my new school.
